Riding boots

If you own riding boots or are looking into buying some of these boots, you may already know there are certain things you can do to enhance their appearance. You are certainly already aware of shining and buffing the boots in order to make them look nice.

As new as it may sound to you, one of the things people are now doing to give themselves a little bit of creative freedom with their riding boots at equestrian events is creative shoelacing. As funny as this might sound, it is true.

One of the new and different lacing techniques is included below. You might want to try this technique out on your riding boots at home before you bring it to an event.

The first step is that the shoelace is run diagonally and emerges from the bottom left as well as the top right eyelets. It is important to get this first step down right. If you do it wrong, it could affect the rest of the lacing.

Next, the top end of the lace will need to zig-zag from the very top set of eyelets down to the eyelets in the middle. Try to go to the eyelets that are closest to the middle if you cannot find the exact middle.

Lastly, the bottom lace on the riding boots is going to be zig-zagged in a similar way from the bottom of the boot up to the middle eyelets. Once this is all done, you should have boots that are not only snug and able to do their duty, but a little bit out of the ordinary as well. Just because equestrian sports are sometimes thought of as being uptight, this does not mean your riding boots need to be as well.
